An antique gas alarm monitor

We have received this picture from one of our customers from the refrigeration industry. It is a GJ-01C gas alarm control panel with a GJ-A gas detector, which Geopal developed and produced in the early 1990s. It was originally developed for private homes when natural gas began to be installed. However, it was never a success as it became required to have gas detectors in private homes. Subsequently, they were instead sold for detection of freon (previously used as a refrigerant in refrigerators), as there was a lot of focus on the harmful effects of freon, especially the depletion of the ozone layer.
Our customer still has our GJ-O1C hanging, and even though our gas alarm monitor has celebrated its 30th birthday, it still keeps running - we think that is pretty cool!
